Photosphere in an photosphere

Is it possible to have a photosphere with an alpha that shows another photosphere behind it? For instance, the top photosphere showing a world view, but has a hole (alpha) in the middle that show another photosphere. Like x-ray vision in the middle but the outer edge shows up normal (not x-ray).

Edit: I guess I should say Mask, rather than Alpha

Hello,

There is actually no need to use subsymbols. You could simply use two photo spheres and set as the material of one of them a png picture (picture with an alpha).
