Now FLV is dead, what else is supported in Designer for video with Alpha channel?

Hi,

one of my customers wants an animated button. The only way I could think of doing this was to make a video file with an Alpha Channel in it. I checked what I could do in the ‘Designer’ version of Zapworks and it says designer only supports FLV with v6. I went to create some test files but it turns out Adobe has stopped their software from creating/exporting/converting FLV for quite some time. So what else are my options in Designer? Has Zappar updated it to work with MP4 with Alpha channels yet?I see you can use Mp4 with Alpha in Studio but I find studio too complicated to create an AR experience like that of Designer.

I have replied to your email in to support regarding this issue, but for reference of others on the forum:

We are currently working on a new update for our designer tool which will update the supported video formats, as well as solve the video compression issue. Unfortunately we do not yet have a set release date, but we’ll be sure to pass on more information on the forum when we have a better idea. For the time being, the only way to use other video formats is in studio. We have documentation on how to include video in studio at https://docs.zap.works/studio/video/ , and if you struggle with creating experiences in studio I would recommend checking out our tutorials at https://docs.zap.works/studio/tutorials/
