Make a 3D object stay there for everyone and not move

Greetings. I would like users to scan a Zapcode at the door. Then as they wander through the building, they encounter 3D objects at fixed points. I realize I could add a Zapcode at each installation point. But a single scan at the door seems more elegant. Is this possible with world tracking and anchors? The only tracking tutorials seem to be for users to place 3D objects. Thank you.

Hi @dan.carr,

Thanks for the question.

You can use the Extended Tracking subsymbol to place content on a ground plane without the need for the user to place the object. The content will automatically anchor to the position of the target as soon as it is in view.

This would still require printed targets around the building and if you would like to show different content at different points, there would need to be a system in place that iterates to the next, after a new anchor point is found.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.

That’s what we like to hear! Be great to see what you’ve ended up creating with extended tracking, will keep an eye out .
