Asian font support?

Hello all!
I am trying to make an AR business card in Zappar Studio with multiple languages. Using the language switcher works OK, except for asian languages (in this case Japanese and Korean).

I’ve tried including and selecting Japanese and Korean .ttf fonts to no avail.
Have anyone experienced something like this?

Hi @sei,

Currently the ZapWorks tools do not support logographic languages.

I will pass the request to our platform team, but can’t guarantee that this will be put on our roadmap.

What you can do in the meantime is use an image editing software (Photoshop, etc.) to create the text in the chosen language and then save it as an image. You can then import this image into your scene and position, scale, rotate it.

I remember using this solution was working for me for chinese font:

Hi @MrPropre, By default Latin script (i.e. English characters), numbers and basic punctuation are included. Additional elements (such as accents, or characters used in other languages) can be included by right-clicking on the font in the Media Library and selecting “Properties”. [Font%20Properties] The new characters must be added to the “Additional Characters” field to become available in the project. Hope this helps. George
