Animating within Studio vs. using MP4s

Hey all, it’s me again crowd-sourcing opinions!

I’m not too sure how the final file size would shake out, but I’ve got a new project that draws a lot of stylistic influence from the art of paper cutting—this is another image-tracked mural, for those familiar with my previous posts

As far as the question, would it be better to animate everything within studio itself (as in, exporting each piece of the different ‘paper dolls’, importing into studio, and then animating that way) or would it be better to create alpha .mp4’s for each doll’s animations, and import the mp4s into studio? I haven’t really messed too much with video in Studio, as I was able to animate everything in studio just fine, so I’m not too sure how tricky the process of importing alpha video into studio is—I just know there’s an existing tutorial that I struggled a bit with when I was first learning studio.

I appreciate and welcome any thoughts and input! Thanks!

Hi abiro, in my experience it is better the first option.
