Dimensions for images and 3d models

How do I get the height, width, and length of a 3d model or a height and width of an image? Not the scale. Thank you.

Once inside ZapWorks Studio objects no longer have a concept of width and height in terms of pixels but take on the scale property to define their size.

Is there a particular reason you’re looking for those dimensions? We might be able to suggest a alternative solution.

Yes. The dimensions are needed to scale the distance between 2 planets for example.

Hi, I see that this question from 2 years back and essentially have the same question. Is there an alternative way to get the length, height, and width in order to determine the dimensions of the object?

Hi @proth,

The physical dimensions of an object are not retrievable from within Studio. Generally, an object’s transform properties will be relative to the target they are anchored to e.g. a target image.

The exception to this would be 3D models, which are imported at the scale defined by the 3D software’s export settings. For more information on 3D model usage please refer to the 3D section of our documentation site.

Hope this helps.

All the best,
Seb
