Anyone Use SketchUp To Create 3D Models For Studio?

Hi guys,

Warm greetings!

Anyone here has experience creating 3D models in SketchUp and exporting it for use with Studio?

Cheers,
Brien

I have been playing with blender and a demo of 3ds max 2018.

Steve

Thanks for sharing.

The reason why I’m asking about SketchUp is because one of my team member is using it for our interior design projects. We have just started testing using it to export all our 3D assets into Studio.

So far, both the .OBJ and. FBX files we have exported from SketchUp have failed to be imported into Studio. Even a simple rectangular block with a hole in it.

Hence, we are doing our research on this topic. Any experience to share? Thanks!

Cheers,
Brien

Do you get an error in studio? or does it just not work right?
I found that sometime you have to import them first then go into it and add the materials image. after that change the material of the 3d to the image file to get things to work.

I’ll do a screen shot of the error message later. Thanks
